2026 Official Parade Starter

Congratulations to McCarthy’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning for being selected as this year’s Official Parade Starter.

They have been a longtime sponsor and supporter of the Annual St. Patrick’s Day
Parade. As the Official Parade Starter, they will cut the ribbon spanning 15th Street and blow the whistle to launch the parade through downtown Omaha.

In appreciation for their support, they will receive an Honorary Plaque and Gold-Plated Whistle to commemorate this fun, family friendly event.

Thank you for your support!

2026 Grand Marshal

Fr. Tom Fangman

Grateful forever for the Irish Claddagh Sign! It serves as a real basis to strive for in life. Love, loyalty, and friendship, all based on faith, give me what I seek every day! It’s rooted in purpose: to fully live while growing, building, and becoming all God intends me to be, always guided by His grace. For centuries, and for many, it’s given direction and fulfillment. This faith and community are not just words, but a way of life that inspires and connects us all.

I love the Irish flair of zest, the vibrant energy and enthusiasm that permeates every aspect of our culture, the excitement of being together, sharing it all, and the hospitality that welcomes all! In this Irish way, friends become family. Care is contagious, and all realize they are blessed with where they are and with whom they are blessed to where they are and with whom they are blessed to be with.

Learning this from my Irish roots, I feel a deep sense of connection and belonging. This is why I consider being asked to be the 2026 Grand Marshall of Omaha’s 148th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade to be such a thrill and joy! Plus, this recognition in preserving, restoring, and building the two oldest Irish churches reminds me of the thrill St. Patrick must have felt to spread the Gospel wherever you went and be blessed to see Christ everywhere, all around you. It’s beautiful. For me, it’s here with you all in Omaha! In God, be Glory and Praise, Cheers!
